Building a Tire Garage in Georgetown

Widly working on the tire wall.

This past July, the entire Get Fresh Crew took a trip to Georgetown, MA to help with the construction of a tire garage at the home of Elizabeth Rose, the president of the Board of Directors of Long Way Home. Although it rained off and on, the group had a rewarding experience learning how to fill tires and moving lots of earth!

After all the hard work ended, everyone took a swim in the lake nearby. The Long Way Home crew from Guatemala was in attendance and the Get Fresh Crew got to meet everyone they will work with during our 10-day trip to Guatemala. Filling tires and talking with the Long Way Home Crew made the students realize how amazing our service trip will be! A big thanks to Long Way Home and Elizabeth for hosting the Get Fresh Crew!
